well i cant wait until break to start.  thursday jacki and i head up to her house, up in maine, for 4 days.  while there going to visit portland and boston.  other than that i get to spend alot of time with her family.  monday morning we then head to philly to meat up with mike, kelly, steve and april and then to tampa, florida.  jacki has a friend that is willing to let us use their condo for the rest of break.  for payment of using it we have to pick up at the airport and drive jacki's friends parents to venice.  oh its going to be an awesome break! all of it!

man do i have a ton of questions that need to be answered and i am finding that im a pushing off the questions for later(one being why im not updating this.  easy to put off) or im finding that i want to do more than think(seems more practical to me).  i do have posts i want to write on i just keep pushing it off.  right now im at jacki's apartment by myself studding.  yeh thats not happening.  i dont really want to write a paper on the sixties political movements.  fun!

i am coming to realize that certainty is quite nice.  not having to question everything, every time has a sense of calming the nerves.
as it goes as of now im hating this break.  i cant concentrate on anything.  my mind is being pulled in far too many directions at once.  you would think that being on break should be relaxing being away from my biggest stressors.  but in fact it seems to me that i have a harder time living with out these stressors.  this time last week i thought that all i needed was time alone.  well im getting that for sure.  i think with out a rigid schedule i go crazy.

after church i went to the police department to get fingerprinted for my summer job and filled out all paperwork that i could fill out at this time.
oh gosh i cant believe im saying this but i really want this break to be over!

well i must say that i obviously have respect for rules.  pranking the campus center this past week and breaking open hours 4 times in the last week as well.  like last night after spot open hours closed at 1am.  yeah we went past that by far... got some great photos from it.  which are on facebook - http://houghton.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2012751&id=100301306

and then i have friends insinuating things.  fun fun fun. got to love friends!

ok so i have been told that i have not been updating.  ok here is why for those that dont know what all is on my plate: 17 credit hours, 10 hours work (dropped 3.5 hours this week), working out an internship, on lanthorn staff (poetry comp. book), TAing a 3 hour class, oh and writing about 10 pages/week, and then there is all my friends which seems to such up all my little free time that i used to spend updating this.  all of this per week so yeah busy.
ok where to start in more detail.  here is a start so last week i bought a Xbox 360! yeah beat halo3 in 2 days.  i guess the rest ill do as i started the listing... 17 credits is quite the load.  my classes are math 115, modern american hist, pentituch, public speaking, WFR, and an independent study.  the WFR stands for Wilderness First Responder basically this is an extensive First Aid course just short of EMT geared for the Wilderness.
realizing that my week was too jammed packed with things to do i dropped a work shift in order to get things done.  i dropped a saturday lunch shift which cut into my paper writing time.  i would start a paper then leave for work then finish the paper.  too much down time in writing.
what was nexted (haha new word!)...oh yes the internship.  i called all of my contacts in the national parks i sent applications to. turns out that only one got the person that it needed to.  two weeks ago i got a call saying that "it was received & top of the pile, priority" rating but not to expect a response about an interview until march 13th.  figuring this was ok i left it go.  i got a call two days later asking to set up an interview the next week.  last tuesday i had my phone interview.  it lasted about 40mins after it was done i was told that i "qualified enough for the job and have the willing to do the job" but still not to expect an response about hiring until march 13th.  needless to say that while TAing this week i got a phone call offering me the job of Naturalist Park Ranger in Badlands National Park.  funny that a process that was to take until march 13th happened all in 15 days.
i know out of order but what the heck.  as mentioned im TAing.  ok for those out of college for some time or not yet in TA is Teachers Assistance.  this is for the backpacking class i took last year.  so not do i get to join the backpacking trips i help out in classes, help teach (hopefully), and drive for the college on the trips.
yeah im on lanthorn.  funny aint it.  me of all people on the staff of a poetry comp book/club.
so roughly im writing some 70-80 pages over this semester.  fun eh? yeah some of it is.  i just finished up a 14pger on the creation of ANWR that im turning in for 2 different classes.
ahh yes friends so basically its my flat(apartment) and my sister flat hanging out everyday for some period of time.  it is really sweet having the girls right down stairs. but i have found that having them so close in the same building can be quite distracting.  considering we both have open door policy we tend to come and go in each others flat.  i would much rather go down stairs and talk to jacki, kelly, april or rebecca than do work.  sad yeah i know.

right now im waiting for my bank account to rise back up to buy some $300 worth of backpacking equipment before the summer internship.
